Intensive
Outpatient Programs
Child/School-Aged/Teen-Agers/Adults
An
Intensive Outpatient Program is a higher level of care than psychotherapy.
The programs are designed to treat problems that disturb personal
or social functioning or which may be related to a general medical
condition. Patients and families learn ways to cope and effectively
manage pressures without resorting to undesirable and/or acting
out behaviors. Age-appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques are
core approaches in achieving successful outcomes. Family and group
therapies are used to assist in developing healthy coping strategies
in a supportive environment rather than a hospital setting.
